Surprisingly good - lighting and ceiling fans

It's hard to find a simple dusk-to-dawn light on batteries. Almost everything that is available is powered by solar energy. The problem with solar powered flashlights is that they don't work well in places with little direct sunlight and the devices usually come with very poor quality batteries that fail within a week or two. Battery powered flashlights use standard batteries that last much longer. This light is not motion activated, which I find desirable. Light from dusk to dawn is intended to provide continuous warning in the dark and, like a beacon, show traffic the way. Imagine the utility of a beacon that lights up only when a ship is approaching a hazard. Lighthouses are used for warning and navigation, as is the light from dusk to dawn. Although I wasn't expecting much for this price, the item is well made. The plastic body is made of thicker plastic than most other flashlights and feels solid with two AAA batteries installed. The amber light produces more than enough light to easily pass the beacon test given its small size. This light actually comes in two parts, consisting of a flashlight and a battery box that fits into a taco-like case. A little spray paint is a quick way to change the body color without worrying about overspray on the lens. Having just received this product I cannot comment on the battery life. However, the product seems promising.

Pros
  • The light sensor in the stairwell prevents daylight from being turned on, so the light only comes on when it's dark to save battery life.
Cons
  • Something's wrong
