What a great purchase. I have a rescue pup who is used to walking around the streets. We think she is a mix of Pete and Jack Russell. God she pulls when I try to walk with her. She is about 18 months old and I tried to train her on a leash for 7 months. Every time she pulls, I stop until she sits down. Then, after a few steps, she pulls again. She is a very strong dog and she pulls to the point of choking and keeps pulling! My labrador was much easier to train. I bought this very well made leash in combination with a Yuppie Puppy anti-pull harness. These are miracle machines! Every time she reaches forward, this bungee leash will automatically pull her back (at her chest, not her neck - hence the yuppie puppy harness). For almost half of her first walk with them, she didn't even try to pull. As she did so, she withdrew that combination and she stopped. She was still pulling when she saw the rabbit, but it helped if it was a pull-stop-pull-stop rather than a constant hard tug. I think after a few walks she will stop pulling. I am very satisfied with my purchase and can recommend it with a clear conscience. So walks with our new dog are finally much more pleasant.
