This two-storey scratching post with three scratching posts and three "steps" is easy to assemble and very stable, even when cats jump on and off. It slips a little on my tile floor but never threatens to tip over. As soon as it was collected, cats began using scratching posts. Having never had a scratching post, they had to be taught to climb on it, but once they had it they were hooked. (Note: Cats are creatures of habit. Scratch, then try placing it where your cat normally scratches.) This is a great piece of furniture. This is the height of the kitchen counter and the width of the dining room chair. It's about as beautiful as a scratching post can be, which is pretty ugly, but cats love it. So far (three months later) they haven't ripped it apart, but they ripped off one of the hanging toys on day one because it was so much fun to play with.
