Cloggs quickly for air pump accessories

Hello. I had two main problems with these air stones. Initially, the stone tended not to break up the bubbles into a thin column of bubbles. Instead, where plastic and stone meet, large bubbles form. Second, they closed after two weeks. I went through them very quickly.
