I bought this because I had a cat that was losing weight because of his age and poor health. He loved to lap the liquid off food first and really loved the broth-type foods, so I thought he would like this. When I put some into a bowl, it was very, very thin more like water than a broth, but it did have a slight tan-colored tint to it. My cat (with poor health) sniffed and walked away from it.
