I've probably owned 30 or 40 Bluetooth hearing aids over the years. Many lost, others did not have the latest technology, and still others deteriorated over time. This is my third new bee. The first had problems. The second was lost under a very heavy refrigerator. So I bought a few others (like an Airpod) and was disappointed with the battery life. So I returned to the New Bee. I mainly use it for listening to books and making phone calls and some music. I can easily last 12 hours on a single charge. I think it's a bit bigger and a bit heavier than others I've had. But the extra time is worth it. This can also be due to the Bluetooth 5.0 standard. This is the only device I have that uses this standard. This can also be the reason for the longer range.
