Like most Microsoft hardware, Microsoft seems to know little about its complex operating system. I have used this mouse on 3 different Dell PCs with Windows 7 Ultimate and one with Win 7 Basic and all of these PCs rejected the Sculp Comfort Mouse with various error messages, dropouts and unable to get through4 bluetooth. installation process. As a rule, the Microsoft "Helpdesk" is useless as a source of information. Just recently, a Dell Latitude computer that I've been using this mouse with for over two years suddenly decided that the mouse required a "pairing code" and that the device installation "failed due to an authentication error". Mice don't have pairing codes, but Microsoft doesn't seem to know that. The good news is that it's relatively cheap and I can justify buying a Logitech mouse and remember never to buy any other Microsoft product.
