When I broke both my wrists my podiatrist gave them to me as my fractures were not complicated. But since I have pets, I had to find replacements for them. It works well. I recommend wearing it with some kind of protector to keep it cleaner. I also recommend getting foam to patch areas that chafe. Every brace rubs me in random places, that's the thing. My only real complaint, and what blows them away, is that the metal removal slot is in the brace. This means that if you have to go through security at all, you'll have to remove the clip to prove you're not hiding a weapon there. When you have two broken wrists it can be difficult. Old version. And I mean the old ones, since about 2000 there was a slot on the outside of the strut to remove the metal strut. I hope the company changes it the next time I break my wrist, which I do about every 7 years.
