The drive sleeve is a kind of extension and holds the bits well without slipping, even when working with a powerful hammer. The overall quality is very good and everything comes in a storage box that helps keep everything together. I was most interested in drills. Cheap drill bits don't last long and often need to be replaced. These bits are much stronger than traditional bits and will not wear out at all, even after multiple uses. They attach firmly to the bit holder with a hex screw and a hex tool is included. I have been happy with Bosch products in the past and these are probably the best parts I have used. For general use around the house they are great for drilling holes to attach some posts to the concrete slab I have on the back deck.
