Works great. I put it on the lid and plugged it in, the lid was cleared after 20 minutes. The instructions are completely incomprehensible, but common sense will tell you what to do. It doesn't have an on/off switch and you have to turn it off to stop it. That means you really need to keep an eye on it to keep the engine from burning out. This is solved with a home light remote control on/off kit and can stand at home and turn it on and off. Simply plug the device into a covered outdoor socket and connect the pump to it. Use the remote control to turn on and off. The device has enough torque that you can see it kick in and when you stop it you can see it relax and stop pumping. Just received, used twice so we'll see but very happy so far
