This mug works great. It keeps ice cream and coffee warm for hours, at least until I finish it. The cup's insulation works very well, I filled it with ice the same day I received it and it was still full of ice the next morning. It feels good in the hand, has a slim profile and a rubberized, inset bar. It's easy to drink, doesn't splash or spill. I've been traveling with coffee mugs for decades, but I'm new to these double wall travel mugs. This mug fits a standard cup holder profile, making it large enough to hold 16 ounces. It barely looks full at 12 ounces of coffee, which is the maximum my maker can brew for one serving. The top also has a large gap between the lid and the rim, which prevents splashes but makes it even taller. It's so high I have to put a pad under the coffee maker to drip in. It's so high that the shifter in my Wrangler actually touches it in 2nd gear. It's so tall that I have to tilt it back more than 40 degrees to drink from it when it's about half full. The recessed lid is very smart, it can be closed tightly or opened with a click to drink without creating a vacuum that suddenly releases. a cascade of hot coffee. It can be washed in the top rack of the dishwasher, which is well and good as the bottom is difficult to reach for hand washing.
