Wife Says We can all see how cute this is. But for those who want to know what they're getting: shower caps are way overpriced; at least it has some substance and detail work to pull it off. The lid consists of two layers: a thin printed nylon outer layer and a thin plastic inner layer. The pink piping creates a tunnel for the elastic on the outer edge so the piping touches your skin and not the elastic. The "ruffle" 2 inches higher on the cap is due to the thin round closed rib sewn to the inside of the cap (stitched through two layers of the cap). The model in the picture should have a small head because the hat looks fuller on her head than it does on mine. I think this cap fits most women but not medium or large bolsters; The measurement from the front edge (forehead) to the edge at the back of the head is 18 inches. Unstretched hole circumference is 15", stretches appropriately to 18-20". and beyond that naturally feel stronger. UPDATE: Still perfect after a year of use and keeps hair DRY. UPDATE May 2018: USED FOR 3 YEARS AND STILL GOOD!
