Very simple but extremely useful carbon monoxide meter

Extremely simple, inexpensive but very functional carbon monoxide meter. Extech is a well-known scientific instrument manufacturer that has fairly high-end equipment, but is more geared toward home use or small lab use. It's so simple that you don't have to do much other than turn it on. You can choose between degrees C and F and set an alarm for the desired carbon monoxide level. There's a backlight that can be turned on, but you don't have to do anything to activate the sensor when it's on. It shows the highest value and this number can easily be reset. The display turns off automatically after 15 minutes and comes with a nice fabric storage case and wrist strap. This device runs on 3 AAA batteries, which are included. All in all, this is a unique measurement tool that has the potential to save lives by preventing exposure to high levels of carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide is odorless and colorless, but in large doses it can kill you. The guide explains the different levels of CO and how they can affect you. Exposure to small amounts over a long period of time can cause headaches or dizziness, so this can be one of the signs to check for a CO leak. I couldn't find any carbon monoxide leaks in my house, but he definitely gave me a reading by placing it next to my old car's exhaust pipe while it was on. So I know the gauge is working fine and I have peace of mind that I don't have any carbon monoxide leaks.
