Works great with chlorine and ammonia. The sad thing is that I bought it because it advertised nitrite reduction, but from what I've seen in my testing, it doesn't. As you can see in the image provided, the first test was on the right before adding any others. Medium - after adding half a cap. And the left one was the last to be tested after adding another 3/4 cap. The tank holds 10 liters, so you don't need much. You can see in the tests (attached to the table, the second row shows the nitrite levels) that not only have the nitrites not changed at all, but they are still at dangerous levels. I wish it would work for the main purpose I bought, but the reason I still give stars is because it works great as a regular water conditioner.
