We love this product and used different colors to knit 18" x 18" cotton kitchen towels for the mid-August Woodstock party. While not as intense as professionally colored products, our end results were still satisfactory for our purpose. First we washed the bags to remove the sizing and then to ensure the most vibrant colors we used about 2/3 bags of paint per color per bag. We also used about 10% less water than stated in the instructions. Dyed burlap has been placed in a zippered bag for more than 24 hours, before they were washed. Most designs required a single color step (all colors were applied at the same time per design instructions), although some required a two-step application process (one color at a time, each with 24 hours to cure before applying the second color). Those were the brightest. In general, this product is good for DIY tie dye lovers.
