Review on Ergonomic Santoku Knife 7In KITAKAMI X50CrMoV15 Steel Non-Slip Handle - FISSMAN Multipurpose Stainless Steel Kitchen Knives by Jennifer Johnson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good steak knife, priced a little high

This is a good quality knife, but not a great quality knife. It has a 5-inch full serrated blade and a handle that is about 4 inches long. It is a full tang German steel blade with a polypropylene handle. The blade is just thin enough to be slightly flexible and just thick enough to make it feel like a quality knife, not too heavy, not too light. It is sharp enough to slice through a steak without tearing the meat the way some cheaper knives will. The problem I have with this is twofold. First, the handle is just too short. It may be nice if you have small hands, but mine are slightly larger than average and it just does not feel comfortable.Second is the price. I recently ordered a set of four steak knives which I consider superior to this one at a slightly higher cost than this one single knife. Some of the other knives manufactured by this company appear to be more moderately priced. If they are equal in quality they might be worth a look.
