Definitely NOT for painted walls. These stickers are very sticky and will peel the paint off the wall. Mine sat in the wall in the laundry room for less than 5 minutes before I realized I didn't want it there so I took it off. And in just 5 minutes the color was gone. So make sure they're where you want them when you put them down, and don't mind touching up the color when you move them. In my case, it's just the corner of the laundry room wall that was already cream colored and barely visible. But if it were a darker color you would definitely see smudges. We're just going to cover it with primer. Also, I thought these stickers were transparent, but they aren't. They have a chrome sheen that doesn't quite match the aesthetic of my wash, so I put them in a closet where no one would see them. So keep that in mind if you plan to place them where they will be seen. They look like chrome/steel when you try to coordinate them with your room's aesthetic. They are easy to install and come in two pieces. A sticker and then a clip that you can attach once the sticker is in place. There are bubbles in my drawing because it's not a smooth wall (texture color) so it won't turn out smooth. It doesn't bother me because it's hidden in the pantry.
