Review on ✏️ Drawing and Sketching Set: Leda Art Supply Mechanical Pencil with 5B Lead Refill (12-Piece) and Sharpener by Summer Hendricks

There are no instructions on the packaging, although there is a very nice myth and company history written on the back. Initially on first use I tried using the included sharpener (pointer) which did absolutely nothing to the graphite other than polishing it to a high gloss. I also broke the line several times to increase the pressure. Eventually I discovered TWO THINGS: first, the screw on the accessory sharpener needed to be tightened (after that it worked like magic), and second, the sharpener is actually built into the end cap of the pen! Instead of being in an open area at the bottom, it's built into this tiny hole in the rounded END of the lid. A word for the wise, however. That graphite has nowhere to go, and you have to be diligent in tapping it when using it this way or you'll end up with a dusty mess on your work, much like copier toner. Having addressed those issues, it's a pretty good holder that feels great in the hand. The typing feel and balance are very nice. So far the lead seems fine, but I haven't used it enough to be sure how it works when painting. I feel good when I buy for the sale price I paid.
