Great chair. The wireless device that sends signals to the chair doesn't come with a power plug - you'll have to buy one yourself. It runs on batteries and discharges quickly. The cord connecting the chair to the wall is about 6 feet long and may not be long enough for your area so you may need an extension cord. The sound quality, vibration and comfort of the chair are very enjoyable for my 11 year old. I sat in it and found it comfortable too (5ft 8in, 160lbs female). The arms don't seem very strong and my son is stuck in the middle of his arm. hand there? I don't know, but you probably did it too when you were 11 ;)
