Review on JapanBargain 2045 Japanese Plastic Ounce by Jason Paredes

Well made bowls! on tableware

The only thing I don't like is that I wish there was more Japanese art on the sides. It looks like ceramic utensils but feels like hard plastic. when my (2) bowls arrived they were vacuumed together; My second "little" comment. You can see, on the one hand, that the manufacturing process is very well done, with very tight tolerances (unlike Chinese bowls). On the other hand, the Japanese manufacturers didn't take into account what happens when you stack the bowls on top of each other. (They become airtight and difficult to separate). Also, they are quite large and are great for a person with a big appetite; or a normal appetite when not using the bowl for ramen or soup-like dishes. They are microwave safe, made from high quality plastic and I hope they last a long time. a pleasing contrast to the old "clay" pottery bowls when fired in kilns, giving them a red-black appearance. The sticker on them made them real Japanese, but I didn't trust the quality of the sticker. will last more than a few washes in the dishwasher so I removed them to make the bowl look simpler.
