Mains shorted after 3 months

Bought this three months ago to keep under my desk. I never move it, it just turns on a few times a week for a few hours, I've never damaged it. But today the indicator light on the switch blinked when I turned the strip on before turning it off. I unplugged it and plugged it back into the new outlet, but no improvement. It worked really well for me while it lasted, but I'm still disappointed that it broke so quickly.
