Review on Casio STR300 7 Sports Watch White by Chris Bond

Very nice, functional watch with a big blemish. Pros: + Sweet. I don't know why an inexpensive sports watch has to look so ugly when this watch proves it can look great!.+Pacer. Why have I never seen this on a watch before? You can set a pace and your watch will beep at that pace (not constantly) so you can check if you're running at that pace. + Countdown timer. This is my favorite function. I get easily distracted and start doing something "just for a few minutes" only to be still doing it an hour later. I set a timer for 5 minutes to keep up. Great watch if you have ADHD. + Auto backlight function. That's great. When you keep your hand parallel and tilted towards you as if trying to read the clock, it will automatically turn on the light. No need to fumble to press the button to know the time in the dark. It might not be your friend in cinemas, but the feature can be turned off with a long press. Cons: - I love the red numbers but next to my old Casio they are a little hard to read at some forward angles. bright. Not so bad. The buttons are a little stiff, but this prevents accidental screen switching, which happens all the time on my old Casio. The strap is also a little tight. I don't know, maybe it's just because it's new, but it feels kind of plasticky and hard. I miss the soft, flexible, rubbery strap on my old watch. For me, that's the key point: you can't turn off key tones. Every time you press the button, it will beep. There's no way to turn this off like on other models, other than mechanically disabling the beeper. I need this watch to take vital signs and time during exams, but loud beeps when switching modes are unacceptable in these settings. I am seriously considering returning this watch but other than that the amazing feature set makes me hesitate.
