My husband has been buying reading glasses from pharmacies for many years. They're usually around $20 a pair and he eats them like candy, always taking them out of his pocket and sitting or stepping on them. That was cumbersome and expensive at the same time. I looked for a replacement from Revain just to avoid going to the pharmacy again. My husband loves the custom size, 3.25, and not all Revain reading glasses have this high magnification. When I saw them I thought how can they sell 3 pairs of odd magnification reading glasses for under $10? We paid $20 for a pair at retail. I wasn't expecting much but since he keeps losing them there was nothing wrong with trying them. First, I took a tape measure and measured his face. When you buy glasses of any kind online, it's impossible to tell if they fit you or not unless you measure them. Judging by the different shapes and sizes of faces and the distance between the eyes, there can be a huge difference in what suits you and what doesn't. How to measure glasses online: The glasses come with a measurement chart directly on the photos. Place the measurement of the bridge of the nose (20mm) on the tape measure and bring it up to the nose. This measures where the edge of the lens will be on your nose. If this measure works, add this measurement of the bridge of the nose to the width of 1 lens (in this case 20mm of the nose + 51mm for a lens), apply 71mm tape to the face. where should they go. This should be the distance from the center of the pupil to the pupil. Now add another lens (71mm + 51mm). This 122mm is the distance from the edge of the lens to the other edge of the lens on your face. slightly wider on both sides, namely 127 mm, as can be seen in the photo. This is the distance from end to end of the glasses on your face, including the temples of the glasses. Then measure the length of your arm to your ear on the tape measure (146mm in this case) and hold it where the glasses will sit on your face. to the back of the ear where the arm ends. Do not order glasses if these sizes do not fit your face, they will not look or fit you correctly, although they may fit. Wearing ill-fitting glasses for a long period of time becomes uncomfortable. My husband was fine, but he has a relatively narrow face. For me, the landing turned out to be only a few mm narrow. but the arms are still outstretched to fit me. If I don't read for a long time, I might wear them even if they aren't perfect. I can't wear them all day because they don't fit perfectly. We both like the style, it's quite unusual! In terms of quality, I see nothing wrong with them. They are comparable to, if not better than, $20 drugstore glasses. BUT they are heavier because they have a stronger construction. The weight would be too much for me if I had to wear them all day, in addition to the not-so-perfect fit. Since it's reading glasses for him and he only takes them out to read, the weight isn't a small issue, which is an advantage. Hopefully he'll feel the weight when they fall out of his pocket. Also, the 3.25 lens is much thicker than normal, so it inevitably weighs more. I'm sure the smaller steps are a bit thinner and therefore lighter. So, plus points: it has a higher magnification, which isn't always available (especially 3.25) TAAAAAAA cheap! $3.33 for a pair! Rugged construction, equal to or better than most drugstore reading glasses. They look more durable. The hinge stretches outward to accommodate a slightly larger face (but will obviously fall off a smaller face. Measure before buying). , it might be too much for you. I'm not deducting stars for weight because quality tends to weigh more which means they are more durable. At this price they will definitely become his favorite reading glasses! Hope that helps!
