Zipper is of good quality and has a guide built in. There is extra flannel fabric that is padded along the zipper to protect from cold air getting in. There is that same, but larger padding around neck area of sleeping bag for added warmth. You can unzip bottom of bag if you get to hot. The "hood” of sleeping bag is adjustable. The flannel is soft, but somewhat thin-as expected with a sleeping bag. It feels a little off, but I think it is the dyeing of the fabric and will see how it washes. The bag for the sleeping bag is of adequate size and have no problem getting back in. I also like the design of the bag. Will update after using it but looks to be warm and moisture resistant.
