These are the first shoes we tried and they fit great. We got him out on the second wear and he was fine. Still a bit tall but well made. It took us a while to figure out how to tighten the top velcro to keep them in place. We have a Moyen Poodle (medium standard) with very narrow ankles and feet. I like the thickness and profile of the outsole. We live in Texas and bought them to protect his feet from the hot pavement and also because cracked tree droppings get stuck in his paws when walking. Rubber soles make a difference I think. Some warm-weather shoes have very thin soles.
