Bought because I have a puppy who barks at everything - I close the closet door - he barks, I turn on the TV - he barks. It doesn't matter what the noise is and once it starts it goes on and on. Unfortunately, after I got it and installed it, it inherited my pup's bad trait. Instead of just making an exchange sound when the pup barked, it made one for each sound made within a 35-foot zone. Every time the TV was on, this thing was in full swing. Then all the doors were closed, all the normal conversation, footsteps, flushing the toilet, running water, I hope you get what I mean now. Well, maybe other people have had great results with this product - I don't know how, but maybe there's some kind of magnetic shield in my house that's getting in the way of that little plastic box, or maybe it's just not worth the money I spent on it .
