I bought this protector twice to protect it from rain and snow, not so much for protection but to keep my lens clean. I noticed that raindrops affect the image quality. As the drops dried, the image quality returned. With these shields, the problem with raindrops will go away. I also think that the problem of direct sunlight cannot be solved with the use of these screens. This can also help slow down the temperature of the camera. These screens are very easy to install (one screw). They are metal (should last a long time). Depending on the color (merges instantly). Very happy with this purchase.
