Nice but fragile laptop accessory item

The case looks and feels good but after only 2 months and a little use the corner has broken. There were no falls or falls. Since then, the crack has turned into a hole, and part of the hull fell out. It's right on the corner and I suspect it's just a design flaw or possibly a faulty hull. I wish I had gone through the return/exchange window.
