The ENGPOW Fireproof Expanding File case is well constructed and when closed is only 2.5 inches thick so it does not take up much space. The downside is that the rounded base means that it won't stand on its own like a briefcase. The other downside is that it is not sized to hold photos or documents in standard plastic sheet with three ring notebook holes. Strange that it is not an inch higher to accommodate these sheets.When the zippered sides are open it expands out at the top to about 24 inches so it is easy to look into the compartments for your documents. The price seems quite reasonable for an expanding file of such high quality.I have no reason to dispute the fireproof claim but all that means is that the case itself will not burn and that fully zipped up oxygen will be sealed out. Unfortunately the heat of a fire will still toast your documents in a relatively brief time although there might be enough left of them to be scanned. So don't think that this offers the same protection as a well insulated safe.
