Your construction is imperfect and the glue is a joke. The locks must match perfectly when the drawer is closed, otherwise the lock fork will not slide into the slot. This problem is compounded by the fact that any time they aren't perfectly aligned, the plastic latch will separate from the weak adhesive. So, of the 4 locks I bought as a set last month, only 2 stayed. One fell off after a week and the second our 1 year old took off after a month. Save money and get the best drawer locks. We have had good results with strap locks and will be replacing them with a set of the same.
