Good performance for the price

It's important to note that the USB-C interface on this device appears to be USB 3.1 Gen 2, which is a quarter of the speed of Thunderbolt 3, but the price reflects this contrary. I haven't used any speed test software, just real experience. It's much faster than the best USB stick I have. It's significantly larger than most USB sticks, but still fits easily in my pocket. I filled it full of movies and took it on a business trip and it worked great. It appeared to read and write at SATA speeds and just got warm, and I never noticed it throttling. I freaked out and took it apart (I'm pretty sure I've voided any warranty on it) and was glad I could replace or upgrade it as I eventually wore out the M.2 card inside, as well always I did 't. check this assumption. This is the only USB M.2 SSD I own, so I don't know if that's usually the case or not. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a cheap, medium to large capacity external USB stick that you can travel with easily.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
