Amazing Price!: Binoculars & Scopes

Great binoculars for the price. I tested them against 5 monarchs, 7 8x42 monarchs, whirlwind vipers, diamonds and razor. Returned everything except razors (10x42) and these. I thought they worked in low light compared to the Viper and Monarch 7, both of which are almost double the price. The razors blew them all out of the water (but for $1000 I expected that). All tested binoculars performed well in broad daylight. The real challenge with binoculars is in low light (dawn/dusk or a very cloudy/rainy day). They did very well for the price. I had no problem finding small, fast-moving songbirds in the thick undergrowth at dusk. They didn't work that well for identifying waterfowl in the ocean, or flying predators against blue skies (or any flying birds, for that matter). But then again, no one but razors could capture the colors and clarity of these birds from afar or in flight. I'll keep them for songbird watching (and seabird/hawk razors) and eventually save up for a more expensive 8x42. A great set worthy of the best in class ($100-$300) on an Audubon binocular rail.
