Should have kept the original design
While everything is 'right' (sizes, absorbency etc) it restricts airflow too much. When using the BestAir wick, the air leakage is noticeably reduced. There are no clear channels for air passage. The air constantly collides with several zigzag, slanted, twisted layers of paper on its way through the wick. As a result, we need to increase the fan speed (read this as "We need to turn the humidifier VOLUME UP! so we can't hear the TV").
