Just buy it! Chevy/GM still uses their G80.

As I said, the G80 sucks. This difference is amazing. A note for anyone reading this: my diff was literally acting like a locked diff. I called Detroit. Said "we need Lucas HD gear oil" and said "we can't say any brand name oil won't work". Those are the words of Detroit Technical Support. I was too lazy to change the oil in the transmission and it "junk" only for a few days. I have a 2004 Silverado 1500 with a 5.3 engine. I love this difference!
