I needed a mount for my 60" Sony monitor that rotates and slides out of the wall and this mount has a large extension. This is a heavy duty industrial mount. maybe a bit exaggerated but I know it will still be there after the 'big' (earthquake). One thing I didn't understand, the tilt is only adjustable with a wrench, not a big deal, but if you want to tilt it up or down instantly (e.g. for ground-level viewing, for kids, etc.) maybe this bracket it's not for you. It doesn't matter to me as my viewing height requirements remain the same. A great feature is that the wall mount can be moved left or right after installation, allowing the TV to be placed in the middle of the wall where the stands are are not centered It was perfect because the TV was installed between the windows with very little room to move. The bracket attachment is heavy and cannot be pulled or retracted without great effort. Retract it by first rotating the TV so it is centered in front of the wall mount and then sliding it into place. The reason for this is that it spreads the power evenly across the TV, which I think seems like less stress at the edge.
