If you have R5, great.

Many people buy R5s and connect dummy batteries with D-Tap connectors that do NOT go below 9 volts. As a result, people are roasting their R5s. It drops the voltage, the R5 works great but the battery gauge on screen shows the V mount battery is low when it isn't. This is because R5 determines the battery power state based on voltage and the dummy battery regulator sets the power below 9 volts. It's good. Use the battery readings to determine how charged the V-mount is.
