As long as the surface is smooth and clean, the adhesive will hold. I peeled 2 off with duct tape. One ruined the tape, the other was still usable. I used the extra tape that came with the messed up one. I hope I don't fall again. None of the fallen broke the light. They do not light up inside glass fronted cabinet doors until the doors are opened. Hey, they're not magic.
