As long as the surface is smooth and clean, the adhesive will hold. I peeled 2 off with duct tape. One ruined the tape, the other was still usable. I used the extra tape that came with the messed up one. I hope I don't fall again. None of the fallen broke the light. They do not light up inside glass fronted cabinet doors until the doors are opened. Hey, they're not magic.

These bulbs worked fairly well. There were some minor adhesion issues, but they have been fixed. Motion detection is not as good as advertised. I placed them under closets and stair rails. Movement must be within approximately 6 inches before the light activates. This turned out to be normal. The light does not burn as long as there is movement. They turn on for 30 seconds and then turn off until new motion is detected.
