I bought four of these chargers for four different cars. When I received them I opened the package and they look and feel great. This is a very well made product. They are made of aluminum and have an excellent finish. So I went and put them in our cars. The LED display is great and very accurate (I tested it on my Fluke VM). So I left them in the cars and threw away the packaging. However, this weekend I noticed that my phone wasn't charging. And that the display went out. But then I found that the charger worked far from the outlet. So I put it in. The indicator lights up. And it started loading. And then after 5 minutes it jumped out again and didn't load. Generally, you plug it into the outlet and it pops out about an eighth of an inch. And in the next few minutes, it extends another 20 cm and stops charging. The problem seems to be that the spring on the bottom connector is too strong or the springs on the side connectors are too weak. And that goes for four different car brands (BMW, Mercedes, Mazda, and Jeep), and the same thing works for all of them. So it's not a weird socket issue.
