I replaced an old, dirty, outdated lamp with this one. It looked so nice that I ordered another one! I like the socket at the base of the lamp which is useful for charging cellphones and accessories and if you are using Echo by Revain you don't have to re-open the bulb when changing. to a new lamp, because it is the lamp, not the lamp, that keeps the Echo programming as you originally set it up. Just screw in the detectable lightbulb, turn on the lightbulb and pairing will start by itself. Just say "Alexa, discover" and after about a minute, Alexa will recognize the lightbulb and give it a name that you can change to whatever you like. a new lampshade onto the lamp by screwing in the bulb of the old lamp, finger tightening the lampshade onto the base and plugging the new lamp into an available outlet. In less than three minutes you will have a beautiful new lamp that will transform your room! I immediately ordered another lamp and will order more. The price is right too. I suspect it will cost twice as much at the department store. UPDATE 7/6/21: I just ordered a THIRD lamp because the others look so nice. Everything will be on my Alexa network. The lamps are beautiful in their simplicity and complement the ambiance of my bedroom; one for each desk on each side of my bed and another to make the perfect computer desk lamp, especially for the built in outlet.
