I love this little coffee maker. It is made of durable stainless steel with a stainless steel basket, basket cover and handle. Most coffee makers have aluminum baskets, which are unhealthy. The outside of the pan is an attractive polished steel. The handle protrudes to avoid the heat of the flame on the gas stove. I don't know why some people complain about the handle melting unless using an electric stove on high heat. If you keep the flame low to medium there is no problem. The coffee is delicious and hot! I noticed that with coffee machines, the coffee is already warm when you pour it into a cup or mug. Not with that! I use Whole Foods Market 365 Organic Buzz Free Decaf Full City Roast. It is very good. The first pot I brewed at 1 level tablespoon per cup of water was too weak. Now I make a pot with 4 cups of Deer Park spring water and 4 heaping tablespoons of the coffee mentioned above. Delicious. I use Rice Dream Rice Milk as a creamer and Trader Joe Liquid Stevia as a sweetener as I am vegan. I am very satisfied with this percolator. If you use, clean and handle this coffee pot properly, you will drink delicious coffee in return!
