I love these things but I'm a bit afraid of them. I got them in my hand as stress balls to roll around. These are heavy solid steel balls just like you see in the picture. I'm embarrassed to say this but I washed them when I first got them (I've read that such products contain some nasty lubes that can be removed with a little rubbing alcohol and then soap and water) and I fell about six inches into a ceramic sink. The shell broke. Several fragments scattered on the ground. Luckily it doesn't leak, but it's a large oval tear (four inches in diameter measuring about 3/4 of a circle, not a full oval) that could probably be pushed through if I really wanted to. It's our little secret because I won't tell my wife until she notices or starts dripping. Without exaggeration, these things can easily kill you or destroy the concrete floor. I'm happy with it, but next time I'll probably go with the 1.5".
