Review on Combat Hyperhidrosis with Carpe Antiperspirant: Ultimate Individual Protection by Christina Johnson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good performance but very painful for me; Husband loves it

I don't know how to write a review about it because the products (both wipes and underarm pins) work very well and my husband likes them a lot. However, I shave my armpits (like a lot of women) and when you put this stuff on newly shaved armpits it HURTS. I've been using Secret Clinical Strength for years and always apply it before bed (my dermatologists say it's the most effective way to use an antiperspirant as it can absorb into the skin overnight) and I've never had any problem with underarm sweating. .. since I started (I don't sweat under my armpits from the heat, but from nervousness/anxiety - when I'm in a situation that makes me nervous, I sweat even when it's 5 below zero outside). I put it on after my evening shower (when I shave) and MAN it hurt and ended up with a horrible itchy red bumpy painful rash. I have eczema so maybe it's not for me but it hasn't bothered me that much on my feet (just tried it to see how it feels. I don't have particularly sweaty feet) so I guess that it has something to do with shaving the armpits, which makes the skin very sensitive. But my husband took it, he likes it. He's sweating from the heat, and he's sweating a lot, and his armpit sweating has really stopped. I know) - it makes me very sticky and sometimes on my face. I would never try wipes on my face (I use tretinoin at night) but I have tried wipes on my lower back. It stung and was uncomfortable for a good 10 minutes, but I didn't sweat or get hives during the workout either. I personally wouldn't use it as my skin is too sensitive for it. it, but my husband said he would use it again. I didn't realize he smelled like the "smelly man" as someone else mentioned, but I've been buying Secret's unscented clinic for years, so I wouldn't have noticed (although no one has ever suggested that either of us smelled, and I have never smelled anything unpleasant, so I think everything is fine). I would use it on my feet if they were sweaty but that's not a problem. My husband tried wiping his face with a tissue (he sweats A LOT in there) and he thought it helped and hurt, but only a little, and then he was glad it reduced his sweating (although he still sweated a little). - it just didn't flow away). I suggest trying a small amount first - don't smear it up - and then running around screaming like me trying to wash it off because your pits are burning; Unless you're having a bad reaction, slowly increase it until you know if it irritates you, and definitely be careful on newly shaved skin. If it doesn't hurt you, you will be very happy with the results.
