Only works on a flat windowsill

Good window cat seat and big enough for my 12 lb kitten. Unfortunately, I don't have a flat window sill. I have a small 1" lip on the front of the window sill and the cat pillow should sit on it. The bolts go into an inch and 90% of the weight is on the sill edge. I'm afraid it won't support the cat's weight. If you have a flat window sill I definitely recommend it.
