Most Americans use a dish sponge. I am no different. And I've tried quite a few in my time including this SOS Heavy Duty. They're a handful (bulky in a good way) and solid. They work fine. The dish soap penetrates the dirty part and the suds stays long enough to be sprayed just a few times during your after dinner dishwashing cycle. I would say that while these sponges are well made, all kitchen sponges are second only to 3M/Scotch. The folks in their product development labs are constantly bringing well-designed, durable sponges to market. But these are good too!
