My boyfriend and I switched to the Japanese diet this year, and this bento came in handy. It's oversized, but that's good. I would send him to work with ONE of the filled bento boxes and usually keep the other one at home. From time to time I've tried sending food with sauce or dressing (usually liquid) but it hasn't worked out the way I'd hoped. Although I don't necessarily blame the company. My boyfriend is rough with his lunch boxes and they keep flipping over in his car. It ended up spilling the whole lunch basket I put it in, but it wasn't too bad. The lids close, but I wouldn't say for sure that they're airtight. Otherwise, this is an amazing bento that will help people control potion size. I bought another smaller bento that fits my needs perfectly.
