Review on 🛌 Waterproof Bamboo Mattress Protector: Red Nomad Bed Cover, Super Soft - Queen Size by Pavan Pelletier

I've been using this mat on my 3 and 5 year old's cribs for over a year now and have been very happy - to this day. Both my children still have bedwetting. They wear suspenders, and as parents know, suspenders are pulled up. Sometimes a lot. Until recently, mattress pads worked great. I really liked her. They are soft, lightweight and have survived frequent washing due to frequent pull-up leakage. I probably have to wash my mattress topper about every week, sometimes twice a week, and they never leak. Until now. My daughter peed in her bed last night while wearing a new breed of natural, reusable pull-ups (sorry SuperUndies, that Hero Superundie failed). To my surprise, the pee landed THROUGH THE mattress pad onto her beautiful Tuft & Needle foam mattress. Pooh. As I tried to suck it up, I found that there was already another spot to pee. So urine leaked through the pad at least once, but I didn't know about it. Since there is no way to clean the foam mattress, this is a waste unless we want to put up with the smell of urine, which I don't want to do. So if you really need a waterproof mattress topper, unfortunately this isn't the case. I have the same Red Nomad pillow on my king mattress in addition to the same lining on my other child's twin bed. While they haven't leaked, I plan to replace them before they do. I don't know if my frequent washing ruined the pad's waterproof coating, but I always wash in cold water, no bleach, and with a mild detergent. This disappointed me because I really liked these pads! Now I need to find a truly waterproof mattress pad before I lose another mattress.
