Brilliant design! I've searched the internet for half a day trying to figure out how to "overhead" to make an instructional video for You Tube and I've done a lot of diligence with all the different options I've found and I'M SUPER HAPPY. I owe my decision to this to some very helpful owners who answered my questions here on Revain! The part you see in the photo in the top left corner is where you mount the camera (in my case I have a small and light handheld video camera) and the part you see bottom right is where you put it on mount to your tripod. All you need is a camera and a tripod. This "arm" can be fully extended (rods can move up and down). I have a cheap tripod that worked fine with just the camera, but with the mount attached, the tripod was too weak to support the weight of a fully extended tripod (the rods in this unit are hollow, btw), so I'd go on definitely recommend a sturdy tripod if you must use it this way. This thing should win a design award. I love him so much! Totally worth the money, well built, solid construction. Very happy to be able to buy this from Revain. There aren't many professional camera shops these days where you can look at these items and speak to salespeople who are really knowledgeable and offer great advice so I just wanted to say thank you again to the Revain owners for answering my questions!
