In the absence of an iPhone, it makes no sense to buy this watch - they are its addition, no more and no less. Android will probably work, but you won't get all the functionality. What will happen in the 7th series is difficult to say, but hardly anything revolutionary. Most likely they will change the design, but again, they are unlikely to switch to a round one, since unification. So even in 2022, the SE version is the most optimal purchase if you really need such a watch or don’t feel sorry for the money in order to try it.
