I have chopped a lot of firewood in my life; I mean a lot, over 100 cables easily. I already have a large wedge like Post and was looking to get a second one. This one looked similar because it has a very similar shape, the base shape. I have another heavy triangle mall and it splits very well. However, this product is very different from the others I have, even though they look like a sim. Firstly the leading edge is not symmetrical, I will post a photo, but the leading edge is totally asymmetrical which is extremely difficult for the mass of everyone to fall right on the woods. It shifts and ultimately doesn't separate like a similar design from other manufacturers. Secondly, I never appreciated it before, but other malls of the same type, large and triangular, have a certain curvature of the handle. It appears that the handle is oval rather than round for the full length of the shaft. A bulge on the front knuckles to indicate the pivot point about the long axis of the grip. The metal handle of this product is completely cylindrical, so you don't have any sensible fuel to turn the hammer. Tried trying but I'm shocked that some of the design elements and lack of symmetry of this mall make it almost useless. compared to a comparable model. Again I split a lot of wood, I like the design of the big heavy triangle that looks like a sledgehammer, but this one just doesn't fit.
